No more weeping, hurt, or pain.

On Tuesday the 27th of April, the one grandpa I have always known went to see Jesus.

My mom's stepdad who raised her and us grandkids, actually passed away in his sleep in my Aunt Lindsay's arms that morning. He's been sick for a few years now and living in a Veterans home in Boise, Idaho. As of recent, he has been very sick on and off, and many prayers were sent his way, but we always knew he was strong and always came through, but sometimes he got worse. When I went to visit in September, it was really hard for me to see him because he had such a hard time talking and eating. However, it warmed my heart to see him smile and to be able to see him and that God brought me there so I could in some small way, say goodbye.

My grandpa was the only grandpa I'd ever truly known until the summer of 2011. He raised my mother the majority of her life, as her real dad and mom were divorced when she was young. My dad's father died when I was five. My grandad left behind a handful of grandchildren, a handful of children (full, half, and step all together), and an incredible and strong wife, woman of God, and grandmother. Many prayers are being lifted up and are always appreciated for her and the family in Idaho.

I am so thankful that Grandaddy was taken away peacefully to be with the Lord, and that he now has a new body with the Lord. My mom and I laughed together, knowing that right now he is probably looking down on us saying, "Stop crying! You all know how much I hated that Veteran's home. I'm not stuck up in a room alone all day, I'm no longer weeping, or in pain, but I'm running around with the King of Kings! Cheer up, Losers. I'll see you all soon..."

March 20

This month has been full of events so far, and it's not even over yet!

One of the YWAM Ensenada staff that I have known the longest, Kelsey Miller, and another staff who is from Mexico, Walter Meza, got married on March 10th. It was a beautiful wedding, outside along the coast, and absolutely perfect in every way. I got to spend time with some some old YWAM friends, and meet some great people. My friend Jennifer and I did a photo booth, and enjoyed some good company, drinks, and dancing.

Jenn and I took a trip up to San Diego so I could take her to the airport. Jacob tagged along...Thankfully. The odds were not in our favor that day, to say the least. We got a bit stranded in San Diego and had a near death experience. Needless to say, God is good, and we got home eventually, in one piece, and a little bit more closely bonded.

Micah Kemp, the second youngest of the kids I nanny for, turned 7 on March 16th. We had a party at the house - so many children!

At the end of this month, the family has invited me to take Spring Break with them in San Diego. The plan is to hit up Sea World, Wild Animal Safari Park (both of which I have never been too!) and the Zoo - Jacob and I got duel season passes!

I'll post some photos of this eventful weekend soon.
Love you all!

march 7

Yesterday was my first experience at the Mexican doctor. Fortunately, he spoke English very well and Sam went with me. It's the doctor she uses for her family for a few years now, so she knows that he is good. The Mexican doctors have a little one-room office off the side of the pharmacies. Not what I expected, but it's nice and clean and legit, and I felt very comfortable.

The doctor said that I have a virus which is an infection in your throat, and it gives you a fever (which I had) and little teeny tiny red bumps on certain parts of your body (which I still have, all over my hands, and this morning they appeared on my feet). They are actually pretty painful, but I've managed to smother the heck out of them with numbing cream :)

The doctor said it should go away in about a week, gave me some throat-numbing mint thingies, and said it's the same thing that all the Kemp kids had as well. He also said that it is really common among Americans and other white people because we don't have the vaccinations for it, and they do, just like they would be more likely to get chicken pox maybe or TB and other countries wouldn't because we vaccinate for that.

Anyways, a few more days of pain and I should be fine.
Prayers are much and always appreciated.

love you all. xx

Sick sick sick

These last few months I have been very sick on and off for weeks at a time.

This last month I had a fever twice and as of now I have a very swollen throat.

I never go to the doctor or tell people when I'm feeling ill, just because I know
I usually get over it quickly. But now it's so painful and annoying (after three months...) that I've decided to go to the doctor.

I hate being sick because I feel like
I cannot do my job properly and I'm lazy, even though I know my body needs rest, I still want to go go go.

Please pray that I am able to get Se medication or advice to help me and that God would completely rid my body of all sickness and bug that I have had that keeps coming back again and again. Also pray that I am able to know when to rest and when my body needs time to chill out. I know that God can completely rid me of this. Also, that the bugs stop flying around to all of the kids and the 9 of us! If one gets it, it seems as if it's just a matter of time
Before the rest of us do too.

Thank you for your prayers.
Xoxo

Home church

Today the Kemps and I went to a new home-church at a young couple (Theo and Melissa's) house. They are from Haiti and Puerto Rico/Florida, and he has been a pastor of a home-church for a while in Florida.

The Kemps, with me included, have been searching for a church for some time now, and we've recently been attending Calvary Chapel Ensenada. It's been great, but doesn't quite feel like home.

Melissa is a part of Sam's local women missionaries bible study. She has come over to the house and Sam at hers a few times now, and so we thought we would see how it went.

It was a wonderful discussion on James 1 about Anger and the blessing and cursing of our tongues. It really spoke to us, and Tym and Sam got some prayer for situations, and were very supported by this new wonderful body of Christ.

Seems we've found a new home church.
I am encouraged and excited about this new experience.
