march 7

Yesterday was my first experience at the Mexican doctor. Fortunately, he spoke English very well and Sam went with me. It's the doctor she uses for her family for a few years now, so she knows that he is good. The Mexican doctors have a little one-room office off the side of the pharmacies. Not what I expected, but it's nice and clean and legit, and I felt very comfortable.

The doctor said that I have a virus which is an infection in your throat, and it gives you a fever (which I had) and little teeny tiny red bumps on certain parts of your body (which I still have, all over my hands, and this morning they appeared on my feet). They are actually pretty painful, but I've managed to smother the heck out of them with numbing cream :)

The doctor said it should go away in about a week, gave me some throat-numbing mint thingies, and said it's the same thing that all the Kemp kids had as well. He also said that it is really common among Americans and other white people because we don't have the vaccinations for it, and they do, just like they would be more likely to get chicken pox maybe or TB and other countries wouldn't because we vaccinate for that.

Anyways, a few more days of pain and I should be fine.
Prayers are much and always appreciated.

love you all. xx
